Native folk of the U.K. are not anywhere near as violent as other ethnic groups living in England, UK.

"Homicide in England and Wales: year ending March 2022 "

    https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopula.../articles/homicideinenglandandwales/march2022

"The homicide rate over the three-year period to the year ending March 2022 was 39.7 per million population for the Black ethnic group, approximately four times higher than for the White ethnic group (8.9 per million population)."

Don't just open the door for the "police".

"Three men disguised as police officers 'entered home and assaulted victim' in Slough"

    https://www.getreading.co.uk/news/r.../three-men-disguised-police-officers-27180608

"The aggravated burglary occurred at around 7am yesterday (June 21) in Spackmans Way. Three men disguised as police officers gained entry to a property."

"They were challenged to produce ID by the victims. One of the offenders assaulted a victim before they left in a blue car, police said."

"The victim, a man in his fifties, who was assaulted required hospital treatment for an injury to the head. They have since been discharged."

    Negative lonewolf.....negative...

Remember...I stated we are never supposed to be able to think this far...on our own ...without permission and a whole field of distraction has been manufactured to keep us distracted and to prevent independent thinking and analysis.

    Remember what I stated....

The results are exactly the same......we get fewer choices while taking risks in our occupations.

And our leadership and our deceitful media and public schooling totally avoid this association with taxation...and the effects of taxation.....fewer choices on what we choose to spend our monies...

And remember also.....this is what I learned from the Federal Reserve Bank publications......which they printed and distributed to the public for free back then. This is our American Central Bank telling us this....

The same effect as if it has come from the Bank of England.....

Rising prices is what we see and feel...but for those who can still think outside the box...the effect is the same as if someone taxed us....took monies directly out of our pockets as a tax....a direct tax.

The system is designed that most of us never are able or supposed to think outside the box of where they want us to think....not just on this topic but many many other topics...

This preventing of thinking ...particularly independent thinking on our own is what I call "Herding."

That is the interesting thing to me about many preppers......they tend towards more independent thinking and also ....very important......exchange ideas born out of independent thinking..amongst other preppers...very very dangerous to the status quo.....and those wanting to keep everything properly herded and control the herd.

Preppers do not necessarily follow the herd...but do keep and eye on said herd...especially for two legged wildlife and try to avoid the same.

Well...nontheless....inflation is the same result as if someone had taken the monies directly out of your pocket......

You get fewer choices on what you choose to spend your monies......

The exact same result as if you had been taxed....

The result is the same.....but twice.....when we earn our monies we are taxed directly and when we spend our monies we are again taxed by inflation.....

Most people out here are angry about inflation and rightly so..

But very few can make the association with disguised taxation...that we are being taxed twice......and the system is designed such that we are never supposed to be able to think this far..

We are supposed to trust the "Experts" trotted out so often to convince us that what is happening is not happening.

They are "Experts",,,,,,they know better ...because they are "Experts"

Be warned these Ishmaelites........Especially when they trot out "Experts!!!"

    Remember something else ...lonewolf....historically....

Our war for Independence here....happened because of Taxation without Representation........

The Stamp Act and other offences against the Colonialists...here..

This too is not much taught in our public schools today....and not by accident...

This too is also a reason we are kept distracted and also not taught much history today...we are never supposed to be able to connect these dots.

Do you think it might change the next election results should more people knew the effects of inflation and the association with disguised taxation..and how our leadership tries so hard to deceive us....by distractions and also by limiting our knowledge of history.....

Anything to prevent independent thinking.......to keep people here properly herded....to prevent independent thinking..

Taxation without Representation.....is a step towards.....Absolute Power and or Divine Right of Kings...

And that is what happened to cause the English Civil War...Absolute Power....Divine Right of Kings.

And that ....lonewolf...is why we must be kept constantly herded/distracted.....so that we do not detect our governments....as did King Charles 1st....going back to Absolute Power....and or Divine Right of Kings.

And Divine Right of Kings....and or Absolute Power too...is hardly taught to people now days...particularly in public schools.....just trust the "Experts."

After all...they know what is best for us...they are "Experts."

I know that inflation is caused by increased Labour and Materials costs and has nothing to do with taxation.
Labour and Material costings were part of my everyday work life and I dealt with them 5 days a week 50 weeks a year.
Taxation is different and is added on top of normal costs of production or service. (VAT in UK for instance).

As the price goes up the sales tax goes up as a percentage of the retail.
10 quid with 10% tax = 11 payment with tax
15 quid with 10% tax = 11.5 payment with tax
In my home state, there is no state income tax, so they slam sales taxes on everything.
My federal income tax before retirement ran around 12% (we had sufficient deductions to bring it down to this number). In my home state, property taxes were minimal -- had a >2,000 sq ft house (186 sq. meter), 4 bedroom, paid under $1,000/yr tax.

Taxation in the UK is often misdirected and does not ultimately benefit the country. Take HS2 for example (which for non UK readers is an entirely new high speed train line being constructed to link London with the Midlands and North). That is a clear case of a vanity project that has no real purpose. There already exists a very good railway to Birmingham and the North in the form of the West Coast Main Line. That was built in late Victorian times but, more importantly, upgraded during the very early sixties. At that time the (then new) electric locomotives could sustain a constant 100mph between London and Glasgow. HS2 only planned to take twenty minutes off the journey times to Birmingham. What possible gain could there be in that? Enough time to buy a take away coffee at the station perhaps? It was simply a politician's vanity project that is now not targeted to come in to use a decade later than planned and cost £150bn instead of the projected £90bn and all this at a time when "business men" could simply hold zoom meetings instead of going to see someone. Is it being scrapped though? Well sort of. The northern part of the route has been scrapped, so what is the point of the rest of it? Well, there is no point, it was actually, originally part of a unified European railway idea with Paris as the hub. Now we have left the EU it is an utter white elephant and, yet, we are still paying higher taxes to pay for its continued construction.

To draw a parallel to WatcherChris' comments re the excess taxation that, in part led to the American War of Independence/Revolutionary War where US colonists were paying high taxation to fund England's wars in Europe, the UK is paying to build something that has no longer any relevance to the UK itself. History repeating itself? Maybe, it did not go well for England's colonies in America but out of the ashes rose the United States of America, large oak trees from small acorns or a collapsing superpower? You be the judge.

As I recall the history taught to me ......King George...in those days was involved in conflicts on the Continent and needed more monies to finance his wars. Thus he decided to more tax the colonies and use the monies for his wars.

As I was taught...the taxes collected by England in her colonies were to be used for the purposes of the Colonies....not for a foreign war....thus the Stamp Act was an anathema to the colonialists ....and against normal colonial policies..

Hence the slogan ..." Taxation without Representation."

This history is not taught to most Americans and most Americans have not a clue....as usual.

    by lonewolf...

Inflation is caused by increased demand ahead of supply.

Increased demand cannot happen without a increase in the money supply.

Most of us do not increase money supply when we go out and borrow for a house or car...et al.

We do not borrow huge sums sufficient to move the economy....quickly.

But government does by a process of deficit spending/borrowing.

Most people do not know that in our banking system ...money is borrowed into existence.

Banks create money on their books by it being borrowed into existence.

And Government borrows huge.....huge sums into existence and sends it out into the economy for social/political reasons...

I am talking huge huge huge sums of monies created out of nothing....book keeping entries.

Thus government creates demand in the economy ...huge huge demand whenever they raise their borrowing....deficits.

I knew that when the Biden Administration went for Trillions....not billions ...but ...Trillions ...that inflation would soon enough follow.

What somewhat surprised me was how openly they lied about what caused the inflation.

Increasing the money supply ......by deficit spending on the part of government is what causes nationwide inflation...

And they constantly lie to us about what causes it.

You're overlooking the small matter of the wars with France. They cost a small fortune and, no, the money raised was not wholly spent on the colonies. One only has to take a marginal look at the Georgians to see how much money was wasted. There is a parallel, in this, with the fools that run the UK today.

The phrase "pie in the sky" sums-up adolescent ideational patterns. Also we perpetually hear, "Wouldn't it be wonderful if ... "

So, you hear a couple arguing down the street, down the road. Do you get involved?! If you are wise, you do not. Their conflict is utterly unknown to you.

    Ask any cop.

    Domestic call.

You dig the husband off her. What does she do? She attacks you! "Don't hurt my husband! He loves me!"

She says this with a bloody face.

    Can't fix that.

George Washington told future generations of Americans to simply never to get tangled-up in the affairs of foreign nations. Seems no one listens to reason nor the non-complex wisdom of elders. Listen. Learn. Patience is gold. And you are no prophet unto yourself. Be humble. In times of insanity, step aside, become invisible. This is but a fleeting existence. Eternity comes when it comes.

      King Cnut:

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cnut

"When he was at the height of his ascendancy, he ordered his chair to be placed on the sea-shore as the tide was coming in. Then he said to the rising tide, 'You are subject to me, as the land on which I am sitting is mine, and no one has resisted my overlordship with impunity. I command you, therefore, not to rise on to my land, nor to presume to wet the clothing or limbs of your master.' But the sea came up as usual, and disrespectfully drenched the king's feet and shins. So jumping back, the king cried, 'Let all the world know that the power of kings is empty and worthless, and there is no king worthy of the name save Him by whose will heaven, earth and the sea obey eternal laws.' "

Wars do indeed cost monies....like this current Ukraine war/conflict in which we in the USA have no business....nor intreests.

But the deep state does...and to whom we somehow owe our allegiance and independence our very souls.....unbeknownst to the average American living in Disneyland with a television and or movie education.

Also concerning colonial times....this is the very difference in being a Subject and an American Citizen.....and even the Average American no longer knows this as our government seeks to expand it's power and authority ....and make us Subjects of Internationalism...and without the Average American being aware this is going on. Distractions.

Americans can be some kind of dumb...and overly emotional.....and easily fooled by a devious, deceitful, and lying media..

    By Brownbear...

Verily agree and very similar is happening here in America. This is because the ultimate direction is politically controlled...not necessarily for the public but the political machine...and certain people and groups feeding out of the public trough. but it is being passed off all to often as good for the public...while chaos reigns.

This is a clue about Ishmaelites being present and benefitting....not he public.

Here in America years ago we had the famous Bridge to Nowhere....financed by the public.

I agree. The sad thing is that neither the administration or the leaders even attempt to try and cover up their utter incompetence and greed.

Absolutely, and then they b*llsh*t about what they intend to do so, in reality we have very little choice.

My personal opinion is that generally a political party tend towards being moderate during its first term but, if re-elected we see their true colours. Looking back historically we saw that with Margaret Thatchers first term, where she got in and sorted out most of the country's main issues during her first term, then things went awry, further so when John Major became PM. Again with Only Blair the same thing. He righted the previous Government's wrongs and it seemed to be going okay until he were re-elected then we went to war, punitive laws were passed against the UK population, the doors were thrown once for unfettered migration etc (I think we are still paying the price for his terms in office). On to the Conservatives and to start with things seemed okay (although history reveals dreadful mistakes even from David Cameron's early days) and look at us now, Prime Ministers without mandates, immigration madness, huge debt etc. All conveniently blamed on Covid (when even the Government admitted they threw money down the drain) and now the war in Ukraine being blamed. Utterly pathetic.

Political campaigns now cost millions. Millions to get a $150,000/yr job. Thus, it's all influence-peddling.

Hopefully, the people of the U.K. will push back. I find it very amusing when farmers bring manure and rotten fruit into the cities and dump all that in the streets. I reminds urbanites that it is farmers who feed them. Maybe farmers should just grow food for their local areas and stop providing food for the cities altogether.

In the U.S., some seriously disgruntled crews have been shooting the transformers in urban electric power stations. The deep state is VERY worried about this and have deemed the saboteurs "terrorists" and "white nationalists".

    https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/fbi-foils-extremist-plot-to-bring-down-baltimores-electrical-grid

"Attacks on electrical systems were up by nearly 80% in 2022 compared to the previous year. Monday, the FBI said it foiled an alleged neo-Nazi plot to attack multiple substations and transformers around Baltimore. It follows recent physical attacks on electrical stations in North Carolina, Oregon and Washington. William Brangham spoke with Brian Levin about the increasing attacks by extremists."

New EU regulations coming in the next couple of years, ALL new cell phones must have a battery that is removable by the phone owner. The idea is it will stop people changing phones every two or three years when the battery fails, its good from a prepper security point too. I love 'flea' markets and in Alicante I picked up a Galaxy S10+ that would not hold a charge for €15, got a new battery off ebay for €12 and fitted it, works 100%; all you need are some screwdrivers, an old bank card and a hair dryer; its in a drawer now loaded with ebooks, music and movies...as a spare.

Over-the-counter, burner phones are best used when you don't want Big Brother nosing-in on your movements. Use'em, toss'em. Still, if some security agency wants intel on you, they'll be watching for burner phone activity.

Always pay cash. After cash goes digital, the size of the black market will grow HUGE.

Where I used to work, we jerry-rigged batteries; I sure did, anyway. That was back in the 1980s. I don't think I've rigged much of anything in the past 20 years.

We of course had to badge-in. One fellow, a mechanical engineer, not a S/W nor electronics engineer, took some old credit card and wrote his pass-code to it's magnetic strip so he'd have a spare.

Any system can be dodged. Got a stack of stories.

There was a movement to get old phones recycled and then sold to poorer countries a while back, companies like Mazuma Mobile sprung to to do it. Of course it was done to make money but it did have the positive aspect of keeping the stuff moving round the loop.

Cell phones...like so many things ....in an economically developed nation ...have a built in factor...by the very nature of the economies.

And that something is planned obsolescence...

However...there are that gifted few....who know ways to get around that planned obsolescence...and make such an system work for them when needed.....

These people are not totally dependent on this system and know how to make for themselves options....,.

Preppers often fit into this category and exchange ides and knowlege on how to work outside this rigged Ishmaelite system...so dependent on our ignorance....our not knowing.

While I have not worked on it in some time..I am looking to complete my work/experiment to see if I can recycle...rejuvenate ...reinvigorate olde worn out car batteries....

It would be nice not to have to buy a new car battery every so many years..ie....not be dependent ...locked into that system...

My wife and I are keen on British crime dramas and television series.

There are but a handful of American movies and series that are worth a half-sh##. The wife and I require mature/intelligent entertainment.

I am however at a total loss why there are British police who are unarmed with a firearm. Is this not suicidal?!

The felonious crowd here in the States might kill you only for recreational reasons. Stab you and watch you bleed to death even as kids watch fish in an aquarium. Death as a pastime.

Just this week, we were watching some series about police in London. This female cop chases after a Middle Eastern nutcase wielding a knife -- a butcher knife with a blade on it looking to be 8 inches in length. She yelled, "Stop!" She had no firearm on her. The TV show had him surrender. That is totally from outer-space. In the real world, he would have stopped and gutted her like a fish.

I've read that more British police are going armed. Uhhhh ...... that is only sane. It is insane not to be armed. White people who have been conditioned to civilized behavior may give up; however, minorities and mean white guys don't just give up without a fight. They're not going to jail without drawing blood. I mean hey, people fight to the death. They just do.

Back in the days of my kin still being alive, nobody in my family wouldn't shoot somebody if they deserved it. I am counting the women also. Evil people get shot. They played the wrong hand in life. They deserve what they get. A lot, if not most, of the men in my life when I was a child had shot other men.

That pledge has wound me up beyond belief. Firstly there is the cost of living crisis. Then there is the simple fact that India have just spent a fortune putting a probe on the Moon. If India needs aid, then it is because they are misdirecting their money (this is one of my arguments against the £150bn we are wasting on HS2, we have bigger problems than polticians' vanity projects). Also there is, sadly, the dubious concern that our PM is of Indian descent and, I have no doubt, that many will be looking at him and wondering whether he is favouring his heritage over his country of residence. There may be nothing in it but, I am quite moderate in these matters and I am wondering therefore others must be wondering too.

Well OG you have hit on a very relevant point.

Historically the British people were quite comfortable with guns. In the 1800s anybody of any "standing" ei wealth and/or heritage would have had a spring gun, along with lensmen, and countrymen all of whom would have had "Spring guns" of one derivation or another. Because our history is such different to yours we did not tend to have defensive weapons 9no frontier etc).

After WW1 a very many guns were Brought back, mainly as trophies, form the war (in particular the German Luger was a popular trophy gun) and during the 1920s gun crime rose considerably in the UK. As a result soldiers were banned from bringing trophy guns back at the end of WW2. Many were searched and any weapons confiscation. However this did not stop the flow of weapons into the country (one only has to go to a "collectors" arms fair to see how many WW2 guns are still in the UK). Following WW@ there was a further "Crackdown" on trophy guns and many were handed in. Over the years guns have turned u pin crime but, in comparison to many other countries, considerably less than one might expect. in the 1960s and 1970s if there was a showing there was quite often a "gun amnesty" where the public could hand in weapons. This netted a good deal of old war trophies, but, of course the criminals kept theirs.

It seems that gun crime started to rise with the rise of a "harder" drug culture during the 197os really increasing exponentially form the 1980s onwards. At that time the police did have armed officers, but they tending o be "marksmen" (often ex military men that had joined the police and were not armed on a daily basis). Following the Iranian Embassy siege in around 1980 where the police were shown to be fairly lacking in firearms units there was a dedicated programme to increase the levels of amid officer training and the number of dedicated armed units was expanded. As time progressed, drugs and robbery started to become far more common so the armed police units increased to where we are now when, I tis not unusual, to see armed officers patrolling the streets. The terrorism in the UK after 9/11 (we had terror bombings 7/7 the following year) further increased the presence of police guns.

It is a sad affair that so often armed units are called out to what were once considered "low level" acts of violence and the increase in the use of machetes etc amongst the drug dealers and street gangs has, sadly, made it a necessity for the police to carry guns for their own protection. We are not as "armed' as the USA by any means but, I suspect, it will not be long before there are more armed than unarmed officers in the UK.

Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, in these countries, life is cheap. There is a marked lack of concern about the people unless some group poses a threat to government power.

Add to this, the fact that the mayor of London is a raging socialist / "pie in the sky". More mouths to feed? More housing required? Solution: Raise taxes. Increase the size of government. Some national bureau will deal with the problem.

    By Olde Geezer...

Agree and I believe this is where we are going here in America. Socialist....and quickly Fascist...

I keep saying someone here wants to make us like Englishmen......Subjects and not citizens with rights.

Or to put it succinctly ...

Americans last place while working and taking risks for first place....in our own country.

This is why these Socialists/Fascists hate Trump for I believe he would put America and Americans first place.....and not Americans subjects.....and Last place .

While labeling anyone who would a racist and Fascist......for not having the correct PC views.

    Talk about Ishmaelite herding.

That is precisely what is happening to People in the Uk and on the Continent. Last place in their own country in order to put others in first place ...without risk..and without work....on the government breast.

Maui and Palestine, Ohio should clear this up for us...here in America.

    Ishmaelites run wild.....

Too many Ishmaelites in the UK and on the 'Continent running things....and trying to do the same here in America...in order to put us in last place in our own country.

The masses are being set-up ... OK, the ones stupid enough to lap-up the deep-state vomit.

The elitists have made a major boo-boo and they kinda-sorta know it. The mistake is to assume that rural, self-sufficient are no different than the limp-wrist ineffectual urban dwellers. So, they label the masses as being "deplorables".

Maybe they're coming out with a new virus. (?) Problem with the threats of bringing-in National Guard units and military reserve units is that the combat soldiers come from the Heartlands. Too, there's the little matter of who grows the food, digs the coal, and pumps the oil.

The socialists state that their are more city dwellers than Heartlanders. If history is any guide, those who do not produce, do not count. Dependency = death.

Who is it that can last the longest without electricity?

Who is it that can fill the air with lead?

walking past some abandoned pasture this morning we met a female bird watcher, I said " its a sorry sight isnt it"-referring to the pasture, she replied " but its good for the birds", wife muttered something about wildlife coming before agriculture and they'll change their tune when they go hungry when we cant import food any more.
this seems to be the attitude of most other people these days, it may look good to them but it dosent fill their bellies but they cant see that.

there are very few people in Britain who think anything bad will happen but bad things have been happening for all of human history.
also very few people take any responsibility for their own survival, its always someone else's job to look after them, or so they think.
thats why the numbers of people who prepare in the UK is less than 1%, much less than 1%.

OG, the overwhelming majority of brits have no interest in firearms whatsoever; hard for Americans to understand but thats the way it is. If a brit wants a shotgun or rifle they do the training, get the license and buy one.

Police have the option to be tazer trained, many don't want a tazer or a firearm. That said at any one time of the day or night there will be patrol cars on duty all over the country with trained firearms officers and a gun safe if a situation calls for it.

Death by firearms/knives in the UK is rarer than hens teeth, why would the people want a gun. I want a rifle or two here in Spain and will have them when I finally find the time to do the necessary training but at the moment I have a lot going on.

Hunting was/is a BIG DEAL in America. As for handguns, self-defense is a basic human right.

In a 1785 letter to his nephew (Peter Carr), Thomas Jefferson said the following:

" ... A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercise, I advise the gun. While this gives a moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprize, and independance to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks. Never think of taking a book with you. The object of walking is to relax the mind. You should therefore not permit yourself even to think while you walk. But divert your attention by the objects surrounding you. Walking is the best possible exercise. Habituate yourself to walk very far. The Europeans value themselves on having subdued the horse to the uses of man. But I doubt whether we have not lost more than we have gained by the use of this animal. No one has occasioned so much the degeneracy of the human body. An Indian goes on foot nearly as far in a day, for a long journey, as an enfeebled white does on his horse, and he will tire the best horses. There is no habit you will value so much as that of walking far without fatigue. ... "

    =========

As more migrants flow into the U.K. and the number of stabbings grows higher, the civilized British will rue the day they allowed themselves to be neutered defense-wise.

It's not the absolute number of stabbings, it is the rate of increase that is troubling. It is also noteworthy that those dying are often teenagers. Here in the USSA, the bulk of minority criminal gangs are composed of teenagers and those in their early 20s. These crews are currently slaughtering each other at rates that used to be seen only in 3rd-world countries.

"Fatal stabbings in England and Wales at highest level since records began"

"Figures from the Office for National Statistics show 282 homicides were committed using a knife or sharp instrument in the year to March 2022 - a 19% rise compared with the previous year."

    9 February 2023 12:17, UK

    https://news.sky.com/story/fatal-st...at-highest-level-since-records-began-12806729

"The number of fatal stabbings in England and Wales is at its highest level since records began more than 76 years ago.

"This is a 19% rise compared with the previous year - and the highest annual total since records began in 1946, according to the ONS.

"The term 'homicide' covers murder, manslaughter and infanticide.

"Data showed the largest increase was for teenage boys aged 16 to 17, rising from 10 homicides to 24."
    -----------------

Note: In looking through UK statistics, one will find the acronym "BAME" used. It stands for "black, Asian and minority ethnic". There are now marked efforts get rid of this term. BME stands for "black and minority ethnic communities". Therefore, should you run across these acronyms, you'll now know what you are tripping over. I hadn't a clue / had to look it up.

Currently in the UK, minorities are killing other minorities. As the years progress, violent crime will increase and spread.

there are a lot of crimes in London that are Black on Asian and vice versa.
I see the victim in the recent stabbing death of a 14 year old was Black.
it seems to be mostly ethnic on ethnic and the 2 communities hate each other.
there are many boroughs in London where the ethic population outnumber the indigenous white population, in the past we have had "White Flight" out of the capital, many of them relocating to the South West of England.

As with our U.S. urban areas, London is a write-off. Hopefully you guys can stop the influx of migrants. Most people who get stabbed, live. The robber takes the money and runs. Here in the States, shooters finish the job with extra rounds due to the shootings being gang payback killings

In the U.S., the biden regime is in full war mode against the U.S. population. We get 5,000 migrants per day and most are young males. We are becoming a war zone. Americans are beginning to protest. One person drove an SUV into a crowd of Hispanic migrants killing over a half dozen or so. The driver was a Hispanic himself. Motivation? He was Mexican (I believe) and they were South American. Was that it? Who knows?!

    I'll find the article

"Driver who rammed SUV into migrants in Texas is charged with manslaughter"

    https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/driver-rammed-suv-migrants-texas-charged-manslaughter-rcna83351

    Begin quote

BROWNSVILLE, Texas — The man who rammed an SUV into a group of migrants at a bus stop in this Texas border city has been charged with eight counts of manslaughter, police said Monday, describing the driver as a local resident with an "extensive rap sheet."

The driver, whom authorities identified as George Alvarez, 34, killed eight people and injured at least 10 others when he plowed into the crowd early Sunday, officials said.

The victims were waiting at a stop near the Ozanam Center, a migrant aid facility in Brownsville, a senior law enforcement official said.

Brownsville Police Chief Felix Sauceda said authorities are investigating and have not ruled out the possibility that the crash was intentional.

The driver's criminal history includes two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a count of assault against an elderly or disabled person, four counts of assault causing bodily injury to a family member and at least 11 other charges, according to information on a placard displayed at the news conference.

In an interview, a migrant from Venezuela said he witnessed the driver cursing at the group and raising his middle finger at them.

The driver, speaking in Spanish, shouted "f------- migrants!" at the people standing at the bus stop, said the witness, Kendal Madrid, 33.

The victims were from Venezuela. Getting out of socialist Venezuela, now that IS understandable, but why America? Why not another Spanish-speaking country? Of course, in some American cities, Spanish is becoming the spoken language.

    He got charged:

"The man who allegedly drove into a group of migrants outside a shelter in Brownsville, Texas, killing eight people and injuring more than 10, has been charged with manslaughter.

"The group of mostly Venezuelan men were sitting on a curb across the street from the Bishop Enrique San Pedro Ozanam Center shelter at about 8:30 a.m. when a Range Rover SUV ran the traffic light and drove over the people sitting at the stop, according to the head of the shelter.

“ 'It was sudden,' said Luis Herrera, a Venezuelan immigrant at the scene. 'A woman drove by and told us to leave the area. We started to leave, and in a second the driver came up and was pointing at us, cursing, calling us things like, ‘Motherf—–‘ and other things I didn’t understand.' "

OG Knife crime rarely impacts on members of the general public just going about their business, thankfully its hoods killing hoods and I've no problem with that.

Even with all the guns in America the country is ranked 129th safest country in the world.

I have two reasons for wanting a rifle in Spain, first is target shooting, I was a good shot in the Army and secondly to hunt wild boar (which are causing major problems over here), I have no desire to walk around with a concealed weapon, same as the vast majority of Brits and Spanish people...we don't need them or want them.

Rural armed America is safe. Homicides in rural areas are mostly suicides. Instead of downing a bottle of pills, rural men simply shoot themselves. Of course, these suicides get lumped in under the heading of "gun crime". In rural areas, as in metro areas, domestic violence is all too common and all too under-reported ... until someone ends up in the hospital or morgue.

"Why London's richest areas are hot spots for knife crime and robbery "

    May 26, 2023

    https://www.thenationalnews.com/wee...as-are-hot-spots-for-knife-crime-and-robbery/

"The representative for Marylebone High Street ward on Westminster City Council, Mr Rowley despairs not only that elegant streets in his neighbourhood are a hot spot for thefts, but that London's police force is doing so little to pursue crimes or stop them from happening in the first place.

"A spate of thefts of luxury watches, often snatched by audacious gangs using mopeds to escape in broad daylight through its bustling streets, brought crime into sharp focus in the British capital.

"While the Metropolitan Police set up a special task force to deal with the problem last year, anecdotal reports and figures from surveys show little respite in the fight against lawlessness.

"With London often acting as the world's window to the UK, the Met Police and mayor Sadiq Khan are under political pressure to tackle robberies and other crime that harm the city’s reputation as a safe place for visitors."

    ---------------------

"Revealed: half of English police forces fail to meet standards in crime investigations"

    https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...rces-fail-to-meet-standards-in-investigations

    Begin quote

Half the English police forces inspected since last year are failing to meet required standards at investigating crime, according to analysis by the Observer that raises questions over whether policing is fit for purpose.

Yvette Cooper, the shadow home secretary, said: “These findings are a damning indictment of 12 years of Conservative mismanagement of the Home Office.

“Their failed policies have left policing overstretched and undermined, with still 6,000 fewer neighbourhood police, shortages of detectives, and record low charging rates, so more criminals are being let off, while victims and communities are let down.”

Richard Garside, director of the Centre for Crime and Justice Studies, added: “Billions are being spent on a public service that appears to be underperforming badly.”

The findings follow a wave of negative publicity concerning police performance with responses to burglary, robbery and thefts recently castigated for resulting in unacceptably low charge rates.

“Even the home secretary has had to admit that people aren’t reporting muggings because they only get a crime number, since the police are so overstretched,” said Cooper.

Garside added: “When the police appear unresponsive or indifferent, it corrodes public confidence and feeds cynicism.”

Oh, and I don't have a carry permit for where I live now. Were I living in Memphis I sure would. Wife has a brother living there. I've heard gunfire at night when visiting. He used to live in a safe area; but even there, one of his sons waiting on the school bus was able to hear loud gunfire nearby. Downtown Memphis is one sketchy place to be at night. Usually the "white enclaves" are spared, save when the gangs fan-out into the burbs to predate. Once I had a job in a large city. I got a rural place to stay. It was a long commute, but sections of the city were unsafe. Unfortunately I had to drive through them during my commute. Americans have to do their best to avoid the Mogadishu areas.

there has been a stabbing death in Torquay over the weekend, both victim and perpetrator were 18.
I seem to remember a report about kids taking knives to school.
I carried a concealed knife myself when I lived in a city but never had to use it, one look at me was usually enough to send people rushing in the opposite direction.

    Rigger's numbers & map don't lie. Numbers don't lie.

Me, I'd imagine certain neighborhoods in London to be the pits. Maybe London has more coppers. Police funding is sh# all around Western nations of late. Sure is here in the states. Police here are jumping ship at dangerous rates. Can't recruit youth into police academies. A lot of young men get out of the Army, then into law enforcement. Staying in uniform, serving the people, all that.

Tragedy that crime is infesting all cities of England. As everyone is aware, American cities are lost.

Here's a story with video about some "youth" robbing a gas station / convenience store. This occurred in a town between Seattle and Tacoma, Washington. This is a strong-arm robbery. The lady clerk is beaten savagely then kicked when on the floor. The nice little kiddies only got $100, candy, and cigarettes.

    https://www.foxnews.com/us/laughing-woman-viciously-beaten-seattle-area-gas-station-cash-cigs-candy

    Begin quote

A cashier who was viciously beaten during a robbery at a Seattle-area gas station said the young male suspects laughed during the attack.

"They were laughing. They had no [regard] for anything," Leah Johnston told FOX13.

The attack happened Friday night at the Friendly Normandy Market in Normandy Park, Washington.

Surveillance video shows one suspect punching Johnston repeatedly in the head and neck, then kneeing her in the stomach as five other men ransack the store.

"I told him, ‘You can stop hitting me. I’m not fighting you,'" Johnston said. "It didn't slow him down though."

At one point, Johnston falls to the floor and the suspect kicks her before the group finally runs off. Johnston said the suspects got away with less than $100 cash and handfuls of candy and merchandise from the cigarette case.

    End quote

Here's another video of the robbery / beating:

    https://www.youtube.com/shorts/oimCqPIfO6s

    ----------------------------------------

The brutality seen these days is insane. It is done with anger even as they laugh. Shootings and stabbings are the same -- multiple wounds. Gang shootings are assassinations with coup de grâce shots to the head.

In the U.S. the "flash mob" attackers are 90% black teenagers. One does see some white kids every so often in the videos. Hispanic youth don't do these mob attacks. Hispanic gangs are serious. They do armed robberies for money. They also takeout the black Bloods and Crips ganges. Hispanic gangs such as MS-13 and the Avenues are hyper-violent. Their origins and leaders are in Central America. These young gangsters come into America in amongst the current invasion of migrants in America's Southwest. The youth fan-out, reinforce, and establish new drug markets. When they want to make examples, they hack people to death with machetes.

Be glad England hasn't gotten these monsters

    https://gangstersinc.org/profiles/blogs/street-gangs

England has some East European gangs that act like America's La Cosa Nostra (origin Sicily) . These are profoundly organized and have established trade routes for guns and drugs.

Sorry Mx but there are regular stabbings of innocent people, late night robberies etc. Yes the majority are drug and gang related but I don't care if they stab each other. And, with respect to your brother, the "no, it's just gangs" mentality from he Police is partly why the situation has bee allowed to spiral out of control. I too worked closely with the Police many years ago and the lack of seriousness which which knife attacks (which back there were rare compared today) shocked me, even back then.

Here in the States, things have gone insane. In the UK, I hope you guys fight back against the uncivilized. Post-SHTF, do what is necessary to restore civilized behavior. Eliminate the trouble-makers entirely. Cruel? OK, yes. Necessary? Yes. Does anyone want to be in the position of a surgeon who must amputate the leg of a young woman dancer suffering from a malignant bone tumor of the leg?! Oh heavens, no! How unimaginably horrible! Necessary? Yes. Life is hell.

How unfortunate ... yet true. My heart goes out to the youth of today. What horrid choices they must make! Me, I'm forgetting about myself and am enabling the younger people. I'm so glad that my parents and grandparents didn't live to see these utterly sick days. I pray for Guidance in how I now conduct my affairs. I'm keeping preparations, yet passing-on what I can. I'm getting very crippled and must now think about younger generations. I'm finished. It happens. So it goes. I'm not unhappy.
